Position: Manager for the Non-Audit Accounting Department.

Location: Sandyford, Dublin 18.

Reporting to: Managing Partner.

Contract Type: Full-time Permanent.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manager to lead our Non-Audit Department and drive excellence in client service and team performance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Manager in the Non-Audit Accounting Department, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the accounting operations and providing strategic guidance to both clients and team members. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

1. Client Engagement and Relationship Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, understanding their unique needs and providing expert advice and support.
• Cultivate strong client relationships through regular communication, proactive service delivery and personalised solutions.

2. Team Leadership and Development

• Provide leadership and direction to the Non-Audit Department team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance on technical skills, client management and professional growth.

3. Financial Analysis and Reporting

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, management reports and other financial analyses, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Analyse financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, and provide strategic insights to clients and internal stakeholders.

4. Process Improvement and Efficiency

• Continuously evaluate and enhance accounting processes, systems, and workflows to streamline operations, improve productivity and deliver greater value to clients.
• Identify opportunities for automation, standardisation and best practices implementation to enhance service quality and efficiency.

5. Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management

• Stay abreast of relevant accounting standards, tax laws and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks for clients and the firm.
• Oversee compliance activities to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.

Qualifications

1. Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field;
• Chartered Accountants Ireland, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification.

2. Experience

• Extensive experience in accounting and particularly in practice.
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve excellence.

3. Skill Set

• Advanced technical skills in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero), Microsoft Excel and other relevant tools.
• Strong skills in Irish GAAP, auditing standards and IFRS.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients and colleagues.
• Strategic thinker with a proactive mindset, capable of identifying opportunities and driving initiatives to achieve business objectives.
