The Role
HR Executive
We are looking to hire a HR Executive to join the firm at an exciting time where the individual will have the ability to grow the new HR function internally. The HR Executive will be responsible for assisting and supporting the leadership team with managing and overseeing all HR matters within the firm.
A particular focus of the role will be in leading and managing our graduate programme which will include hiring, mentorship, training plans, support as well as organising and managing reviews and feedback processes for these staff throughout their training and development with the firm.
The individual will also be encouraged to continuously review the current processes in place with a view to designing new processes or improving existing ones.
This role requires strong organisational skills, coaching and training skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The HR Executive will report directly to the Managing Partner and will have support on strategy and resources from the wider leadership group.
Responsibilities
- Manage internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests.
- Maintain digital and electronic records of employees.
- Manage the recruitment process by identifying candidates, screening CVs, carrying out interviews, performing reference checks and issuing employment contracts.
- Schedule internal HR-related meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas.
- Coordinate training sessions and seminars
- Perform induction sessions and update records for new staff.
- Produce periodic reports on general HR activity.
- Ensure performance review records are being adequately maintained and carried out in a timely manner.
- Maintain internal communications on the firm’s Intranet.
- Maintain recruitment related marketing materials on the firm’s website.
- Assist with CSR and events planning with the CSR committee.
- Manage the graduate training programme which would include maintaining a detailed exams and results calendar and monitoring lecture attendance, and ensuring graduate trainees have the relevant support to assist them in becoming qualified accountants.
- Keep up with emerging legislation and respond appropriately where necessary
Experience and Qualifications
- A degree level qualification in Human Resources or a relevant field is desirable.
- CIPD Associate/Level 5
- Proven work experience as an HR Executive or relevant role. Experience in a professional services firm is desirable, but not essential.
- Thorough knowledge of HR best practices and relevant labour laws including GDPR
- IT literacy, particularly with MS Office applications. Experience with HR software is preferable (HR Duo).
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Excellent organisational and planning capabilities.
