The Role

We are seeking an ambitious and technically strong Finance Manager to join our growing team.  Reporting directly to the CFO, you will play a central role in ensuring robust financial operations and insightful reporting across both businesses.  You will lead a finance team of four and collaborate with stakeholders across all functions.  This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant ready to take ownership, drive innovation, and progress their career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

As Group Finance Manager, you will be responsible for leading core finance operations across both divisions.  Your role will be varied and commercially focused, supporting day-to-day financial management and the strategic growth of the business.  The core responsibilities include:

  • Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and KPI reporting across both business units
  • Oversee billing processes (including contract-driven and time-based billing), work-in-progress, and collections
  • Analyse gross margins, operating expenses, and business unit profitability to support commercial decision-making
  • Maintain robust financial reporting standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks across tax, payroll and statutory reporting
  • Manage accounts payable, treasury, and cash flow forecasting
  • Partner with operational and commercial teams to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives
  • Support post-acquisition integration, due diligence processes, and system alignment
  • Drive automation and process improvements to streamline finance operations
  • Develop dashboards and management reports using Power BI or similar tools
  • Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture

Who we are looking for:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with 3–5 years post-qualification experience
  • Strong technical accounting skills and commercial awareness
  • Experience in professional services, IT, or multi-entity environments is an advantage
  • Proven track record in leading or mentoring small teams
  • Highly skilled in accounting systems and other finance tools, expert-level Excel skills, and a proficiency in business intelligence tools (such as Power BI) is an advantage
  • Naturally curious with a drive to improve processes through automation and technology
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; confident engaging with senior stakeholders
  • Interest in how AI and emerging technologies are transforming finance functions

Why Join Us?

  • Opportunity to shape the finance function in a scaling, PE-backed business
  • Broad exposure across both service and technology sectors
  • Great opportunity to learn from an experienced leadership team with a clear path to take on greater responsibility over time
  • Collaborative, growth-oriented culture
  • High-impact role with visibility at the leadership level
