Job Description
Location: Sandyford, Dublin 18 — office based, 5 days per week
Reports to: Corporate Finance Manager
Team: Corporate Finance
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Level: Recently qualified (ACA / ACCA)
About the role
HLB Ireland is seeking an ambitious and commercially minded recently qualified accountant to join our Corporate Finance team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a high-calibre ACA or ACCA to build on their deal advisory experience and develop a career in corporate finance.
You will work directly with the Corporate Finance Manager and the wider consulting team, gaining hands-on exposure across corporate
finance and general advisory engagements. From day one you will contribute to live client projects and take ownership of key workstreams,
with the full support of the firm.
What you will be doing
Working as part of a close-knit team, you will assist with a broad range of engagements, including:
– Financial due diligence on acquisitions, disposals and investments
– Business valuations across a range of sectors and transaction types
– Financial modelling to support transactions, forecasting and strategic decision-making
– Sector and market research to inform client advice and deal assessment
– Preparation of high-quality materials, reports and presentations for management and clients
– Supporting general advisory projects alongside the wider team
What we are looking for
– A recently qualified ACA or ACCA accountant
– A minimum of a 2:1 in Accounting & Finance or a related degree
– Relevant corporate finance / deal advisory experience
– Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both management and clients
– Proven commercial ability
– Strong attention to detail and a thorough approach to work
– Highly competent in Microsoft Office tools and the use of AI
– Comfortable managing multiple workstreams against tight deadlines

Selection process
Selected candidates will be brought forward for aptitude testing and asked to prepare and present a case study as part of the assessment
process.
